Four Years to Forty and Fabulous
The picture that accompanies this post is of a sunset on the Pacific Coast. Not that I feel that I'm in the sunset of my life--(let's hope not)-- but that I'm starting with the end picture in mind. The age of 40 is one of those milestones that many may look at with trepidation or dread. I just turned 36. I am wanting to look forward to it as an exciting goal mark of being closer to the person I really want to be. I've had this idea for a while and wanted to try documenting my progress through a blog. I've kept putting it off, but after reading a great article I want to actually get started on it now.
I enjoy reading about others' journeys toward more life fulfillment and purpose, such as Gretchen Rubin's The Happiness Project. Like hers, most projects are for a year. We'll see how it goes with me extending it to four years. I figured I really needed a decent amount of time to be realistic in my expectations.
I don't expect anyone other than myself to be reading these posts, but I'm putting it out there anyway. The main areas of my life (and more might be thought of along the way) to improve are the following:
FAMILY LIFE * FRIENDSHIPS * FAITH * FASHION * FACE * FITNESS * FAB-HAIR * FOOD
Yes, I didn't find a word that started with F for improving my hairstyle.
More will be coming, but this is getting things started. :)
